Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Jobably ("we") collects, why, and the control you keep over it. The short version: we collect what the product needs to work for you, we do not train models on your data, we do not sell it, and you can delete all of it.

What we collect

• Account data — email address and, for SSO sign-ins, the identifier your provider (Google or Microsoft) shares. Passwords are never collected; sign-in uses one-time codes or SSO.
• Content you provide — resumes, accomplishment records, questionnaire answers, saved searches, notes, and postings you send via the extension.
• Generated data — match scores with rationales, tailored documents, prep packets, pipeline history.
• Billing data — handled by Stripe. We store subscription status and Stripe identifiers, never card numbers.
• Operational data — request logs (IP, timestamps, endpoints) kept briefly for security and debugging, and usage metering (tokens and costs per AI operation) for quota enforcement.

How we use it

• To run the product: scanning, scoring, tailoring, prep, and pipeline tracking on your behalf.
• To process content through AI models (platform models, or your own keys if you add them). Model providers process your content to serve the request and do not gain rights to it.
• To send transactional email — sign-in codes and replies to your messages. No marketing email without separate opt-in.
• To enforce quotas, prevent abuse, and keep the platform secure.

What we do not do

• No training AI models on your data.
• No selling or renting personal data, and no advertising on the product.
• No applying to jobs or contacting anyone on your behalf — outreach materials are drafts you send yourself.

Where data lives

Application data is stored with our infrastructure providers (Cloudflare for compute, files, and caching; Neon for the database), encrypted in transit and at rest. Provider AI keys you add are envelope-encrypted and readable by no interface — they can only be used, listed by last four characters, or deleted.

Retention and deletion

Your data persists while your account exists, including in read-only states, so cancelling never destroys your pipeline. Deleting your account triggers a verified cascade that removes your content, generated artifacts, history, and stored keys. Short-lived operational logs expire on their own schedule.

Your rights

You can access and export your materials from the app, correct anything by editing it, and delete everything by deleting the account. Depending on where you live you may have additional statutory rights; write to us and we will honor them.
